We found Yuvraj Singh selling gorgeous chanderi, tussar and silk kurtas, right outside Ahlcon Public School ever so quietly, at least 30-40 per cent cheaper than what they’d cost if they sat in branded stores.
This modest market has been Yuvraj’s hangout for years and he makes no effort to call anyone for a look-see-bargain. He just hovers by the stands that have rows of neatly aligned hangers and mini towers.
The unobtrusiveness of this place and the colours made a compelling case, so we quickly browsed and were amazed at what was waiting to be discovered.
Here you’ll find silk kurtas in solid colours along with cotton ones that start from INR 450. If you like patterns, there are also chanderi ones that go up to INR 1,200.
The basic Nehru jackets and palazzo pants will also have you covered for a lot of brunches and afternoon art soirees.
Do stop by Yuvraj bhaiya’s little spot if you’re looking for ethnic wear on a miserly budget. He sits there between 3pm – 8pm.
