REProduce Listening Room at Saraya Sunday, 3rd December 2017, 4-9 PM **Donor Passes available at the door at INR300** On Sunday, December 3rd, New Delhi based music collective REProduce Artists will bring back their Listening Room series in Goa. Our first iteration was at Saraya, and based on that success and the grace of those who steer it - as well as their enthusiasm - we’re happy to return. Described as a ”confluence of artistic minds and energies which inspire you to begin your creative journey”, our “journey” will unfold over multiple rooms - inside, out, and inverted - changing over the course of the fading light of the day. As always, the series aims to fill a gap in the ever iterating and increasingly varied community of live music in India by showcasing talent that might not get heard in the more mainstream oriented venues. REProduce Listening Room focuses purely on the music – in a space where an audience can absorb sound on their own terms. Our last iteration in Goa also allowed us to meet a number of local talent from Goa that had never met prior to the producer meet that jwala led, and we are happy to showcase a number of them here, along with visiting artists from Pune and Bombay, and a someone we’ve showcased a few times, but never this far south. Anonymous People (Goa, India) Here we have someone who can play the theme from Legend of Zelda on the sitar with whooshing sword sounds but then also does soundscapes “tuned at 432 Hz (A above middle C) as an explorative getaway from the mundane lifestyle of an average person”. It’s interesting and I can’t really place it anywhere, and his name is Karthik. I’m not sure if this will be him and a DAW/controllers or maybe that and some instruments or what so if you go please take some pictures or video. Dreamhour (Pune, India) So someone in Goa literally asked me to bring Debo down and so I asked him if he wanted to, and he did, so we booked train tickets a few weeks back and there you go, Dreamhour’s first performance in Goa. Full disclosure: I’ve never seen Debo as Dreamhour, I’ve only seen him as Debo, but Dreamhour is full on Flock Of Seagulls/Duran Duran libations and if that seems like we are paying homage to a era… 80s Copter (Goa, India) …it’s because we totally are - this guy just slathers a vocoder on everything and it’s like watching the theme from Knight Rider on repeat but overtime it loops back it’s a different car and soon you are one of those guys in the other car in Tron. MC Manmeet Kaur (New Delhi, India) I haven’t seen Manmeet since Delhi; she made chai and there were a bunch of us hanging out and then I broke my heel and I left Delhi, and she broke out of Delhi and went to Europe and she met Hari and played a bunch of shows and we still haven’t seen each other since then but we’ve been talking of course and now she’s moved to Goa like everyone else in Delhi, and maybe I will to (I absolutely will not). OV3RDRIVE (Goa, India) I like anything that deploys distortion and he has this one track where the kick drum sounds like he’s fed it to a dog, made it take a dump, put that gift in a blender, mic’ed it, and then looped it through 8234089 MT-2 pedals. Not sure what Brendan does live but theres lots of dogs in Goa. Three Oscillators (Bombay, India) Brij played last time as zzz and produced it with Palash and Karan after playing some weird shows in Goa so props to him for that - for this one he’s again leading event production but also leading Three Oscillators production so you know he’s the hardest working man in show business and he deserves your respect so buy him some beers or whatever he wants, just ask him he’s very approachable.
