What Makes It Awesome

We often find ourselves around Panjim-Miramar and now, we know a cafe to hit up every time we need the comfort of air conditioning and a strong cuppa. Brewed Black has Devesh, a dessert guy and an ace baker running the show and he does a great job of it!

Without trying to look like one of those typical beach cafes, this one’s simply done and the upstairs looks like you could be in someone’s drawing room. There’s warmth, familiarity and they offer free wifi, so if you need to get work done and sip some cold coffee while you make some progress, Brewed Black’s staff will be right around the corner.

We tried a whole bunch of stuff from their menu including the BBQ wings, tropical cilantro sandwich, coffee, ABC juice and nachos. While we think their pizza and pasta are worth a mention, if you’re on a health trip, dive straight into fresh juices and salads.

The thin, crisp and perfectly comforting nachos are made from scratch and we shamelessly devoured them long after we’d claimed we were going to skip dinner (yes, we were that stuffed). You should opt for the fully loaded version that comes with cheese, kidney beans, chopped tomatoes and capsicum, jalapenos and a salsa that’s perfect for those with a low spice tolerance. The undisputed star of the evening were the chicken wings with their in-house BBQ sauce.

The coffee, a perfect medium roast is sourced from Bombay and it was made specifically keeping our requests in mind. The espresso was killer and the cold coffee, right on brief with mild sugar. The tropical sandwich was interesting in a way that it didn’t have the most typical stuffing and we liked the tangy cilantro sauce on the mushrooms and bell peppers.

So next time you're around, hop in and treat yo self!

What Could Be Better

They don't have a washroom, so careful on how many coffees you're drinking.

Pro-Tip

Devesh’s pal, a certain furry, friendly doggo from the neighbourhood, Max is sometimes around to say hello - and he's the goodest boy!
