Statement jewellery by Messiah Craft is bold and beautiful. The brand’s Instagram is brimming with photos of long necklaces crafted in solid brass and chunky tribal necklaces from Nagaland that you’ll either love or deny with a vengeance. For one, we know that Kiran Rao likes them!

What Makes It Awesome

You can travel the length and breadth of Goa and the makers tell us that you won’t find these brass and uniquely Naga trinkets anywhere else in the state. This itself makes for a really convincing argument around why you should be spotted wearing their jewellery. If you’d like to see it in person, some select Messiah Craft pieces are available at Rangeela and People Tree (both great stores to check out when in Goa).

It’s also endearing that this is a family business that was passed on from the mother to the daughters; so it speaks of years of heritage and love for authenticity. The siblings, Neelam and Seema might have been living in Goa for decades but their heart and roots are in Nagaland. They’ve in fact, spent 12 years of their life collecting tribal Naga necklaces with colourful glass beads from the villages to build a collection.

Now the brand might be ethnic-inspired and very traditional in its designs, but there’s no denying that it can uplift an outfit in a jiffy. The use of ghungroos, coins and tassles adds an interesting twist to the jewellery and has made this one quite a hit at every flea market they've been to.

The pieces are priced INR 1,500 onwards and depend on the size and the type of beads while brass jewellery can be anywhere between INR 900-3,000.

Pro-Tip

They're super prompt on both Instagram and Whatsapp and ship across the world.
