In Arambol, lies this compact backpacker hostel that’s India’s first Rasta-themed mansion in India. Like most places on the list, this one’s also about community living, live jamming, pani-puri eating, beer chugging, communal cooking (and eating), terrace yoga and beach bumming. It wins for its quiet location (naah, it’s not on the beach but a few minutes walk away) and the hosts’ warm hospitality. The best part: The bunk beds start at INR 300 a night in the dorm (come Christmas and New Years and and it goes up to INR 550 for the female dorm and INR 1.5K for the mixed dorm).
