Shortcut

India and Singapore have a special Diwali connection and to celebrate this Wasabee is inviting everyone for its Singapore Food Festival for all you foodies who are obsessed with Asian cuisine.

Chomp Down

The festival includes dishes like the tangy Mee Soto Soup with mushrooms, noodles, chicken and lots of spice! We couldn’t get enough of this. Other dishes included an incredible Singapore Chilly Crab which is unbelievably soft and has a very nice aftertaste.

The Hokien Prawn Mee and Singapore Chilly Chicken perfectly balances out the other dishes. The Nasi Goreng here moves away from the more readily-available Indonesian preparations in the market – the Singaporean twist is light, and has a mix of several different flavors which hit you at once.

Co-owned by tabla pandit Tanmoy Bose, the space {and the food} is a carefully-curated product of love and good taste by the seasoned traveler.

If their delectable Japanese food isn’t reason enough, go here to try their amazing caramel custard made with coconut milk that adds just that extra bit of Southeast Asian feel into the mix.

Fab Decor

Wasabee is a place which appeals to folks of all ages, people looking to try new kinds of cuisine and those who just want to escape the Diwali hustle for a quick dinner with friends and family. The decor is a bright red with cherry blossom paintings and really soothing Japanese music.

Anything Else

If you want something less spicy go for the Banbian Soup. So what are you waiting for? This gem of a find near Kalikapur is just what you need for a your weekend dinner plans.

Price: INR 1,600 for two with GST.
