Deck The Halls: Kenilworth Has Started Mixing Their Christmas Cakes

What Makes It Awesome

Even the Grinch would stop stealing Christmas after dipping his fingers into Ovenfresh's cake mix. Boozy, fruity and with a hint of spice, Kenilworth's bakery is keeping up with tradition and has started mixing their Christmas cakes.

We can still smell the cinnamon on our fingers, and can't help wondering how yummilicious the cakes will turn out during Christmas. Giant mounds of raisins, berries, munakka, figs, dates and a variety of nuts are mixed with oodles of alcohol (rum and brandy aside, Chef Khemraj let us on the secret of adding red wine to it!) and secret spices (hint hint: ginger) in a huge box for a month-long soak to let the flavours to mature.

Cake mixing rings in the Christmas cheer and you know the season's countdown has really begun with the elaborate Christmas scene that is laid out to celebrate the mixing. Good thing, the cookies, cakes, yule log and pudding will all be available from December 15 onwards. Hampers and treat sets will also be available for grabs. A pound of cake would be the minimum here and prices would start as low as INR 250!

How Much Did It Cost

Prices start under INR 500.
