What Makes It Awesome

Glenary's has been our favourite haunt in Darjeeling since forever and now we have reason to love them even more.

The iconic bakery is for sure shut due to the Coronavirus lockdown across the country but that hasn't stopped them from coming out to help and support the communities affected by the pandemic. Glenary's has been delivering breads and other freshly baked food items to charitable organisations, shelter homes, NGOs, daily wage workers, hospitals and all those in need of help and support during this difficult time. All of it is for free. They've not charged a single penny for any of their food items.

They had also kept the bakery open so people could come and collect fresh goods for free but then shut it after stocks were over. Glenary's has also distributed chocolates to kids. During this time when we get to hear of surge pricing reports from across the country, this bakery has decided to give it all for free until their stocks last.

Awesome, right? What a great way to help the poor and needy when they need it the most!
