What Makes It Awesome

How about decorating your house with glasses and bottles handpainted with pictures of your loved ones? Check out the online store of Kolkata-based brand Krafteers & Traders to add a quirk to your interiors.

Retailing through their Facebook and Instagram pages, Krafteers & Traders excels in selling eco-friendly hand-painted bottles, glasses, notebooks and even purses, customised with images as per customers' choice. Set up a year ago by artists Priyadarshini Basu and Shantanu Chakraborty, they have an interesting collection of glasses and bottles in designs like tiger, elephant, dhakis, chhau mask, face of Durga, Rajasthani couple to even pictures of musical maestros like Pandit Ravi Shankar and ace actors like Sharmila Tagore and Uttam Kumar.

Instead of framing a special moment, we recommend getting it painted on a glass or a bottle. The glasses come with LED and fairy lights, which further add to festive-meets-ethnic look. We couldn't stop admiring their collection of hand-painted notebooks, especially ones featuring images of iconic movies like Apur Songshar. Also check out their handcrafted trays, purses and bags bearing quirky motifs and designs.

A set of three glasses is priced between INR 280-1,200, while bottles are available for INR 800-1,200. While notebooks come for INR 250, trays range between INR 1,000-1,200.

They don't have an offline store but if you wish to check out their designs in person, visit their workshop in Dum Dum. Keep an eye on their social media pages to get notifications on exhibitions and discounts.
