In its 88th year, Kashi Bose Lane's 2025 Durga Puja theme, "Pakdandi", is a tribute to the legendary author Leela Majumdar. 'Pakdandi', meaning 'the winding path', is also the title of the author's autobiography. She even won a Rabindra Puraskar for it. Kashi Bose Lane's Durga Puja, founded in 1937 is considered to be one of the oldest 'barowari pujos' (communities coming together to celebrate puja).
