What Makes It Awesome

Kanshinkai Shotokan Karate-do Federation India or KSKFI (phew! That's a long name!) in north Kolkata's Baghbazar might just be the place you are looking for, to perfect your katas (stances). KSKFI is a karate organisation approved by Karate Association of India (KAI) and affiliated to World Karate Federation (WKF), Japan Karate Federation (JKF), Asian Karate Federation (AKF) and Karate-do Association of Bengal (KAB). That's some strong portfolio!

Brush your semekatas, ukekatas and kerikatas at this academy. If you stay in north Kolkata and wondering where to admit your child for self-defence lessons, KSKFI is the answer. The institute also teaches the Kanshinkai Shotokan style, invented by Japanese karate instructor Hanshi Tomio Hamada. All the karate enthusiasts can learn this style from Kyoshi Sudhir Biswas, who is the head instructor in Kolkata.

The academy also holds belt grading examinations on regular intervals. So they'll make sure you sweat till the last drop, in order to progress well. And we are happy to hear that the admission fee is quite budget-friendly, ranging between INR 200-300 and the monthly fee is no more than INR 300.

Pro-Tip

If there's confusion finding the place, ask people for Nivedita Club. The karate outfit operates inside the club.
