Cloud kitchen Food Peddler is creating a lot of noise and obviously we wanted to check out what it's all about. This eatery in Hazra's Monoharpukur Road has introduced Kolkata's heaviest sandwich at nearly 1.2 kg!
Yes, you read that right: 1.2 kgs. So if you want to go for this biggie, make sure to pre-order a day in advance. Named the Monster Food Peddler Sandwich, it has three layers stuffed with veggies like capsicum, cucumber, tomato, onions and cabbage, along with chicken sausage (veg option- aloo tikki), chicken salami (veg option- paneer), shredded cheese, sliced cheese and mayonnaise. It won't be an exaggeration to say that this one sandwich will be worth your whole day's calorie intake!
We tried out the 7 veggie, egg mayo, chicken mayo and chicken sausage sandwiches from Food Peddler. The egg mayo or chicken mayo are perfect options for breakfast. The chicken sausage sandwich and seven veggie (it comes with seven types of vegetables) sandwiches are heavier and can be had for lunch. You can also explore other options such as the three pepper, creamy mushroom, Bombay masala, spinach & corn, tandoori paneer, chicken mushroom, chicken salami and chicken patty. All their sandwiches are triple layered except the chicken patty, egg and mushroom sandwiches.
