Next time you’re updating your collection of books or stationery stash at Oxford Bookstore, swing upstairs to the Cha Bar and try out the new additions to their menu.

Hindusthani Burger

If you’re a vegetarian, the veggie burger {INR 120} has just the right amount of desi flavours to it, perfect for a filling lunch. Finish it up with a dose of sugar – there are plenty of pastries, cakes and cookies available {INR 40-85}, that go perfectly with a pot of tea while you read that new book you just bought.

Non-Veg Sandwiches

Take your pick of plain, toasted or grilled bread in white, wholewheat, multi-grain or focaccia and take choose from three new sandwich options (INR 120}, just for carnivores – Shredded Chicken Gherkin and Olive, Summer Cucumber Feta With Mint and Chicken Mortadella Jalapeno and Cheddar. These hearty sandwiches also go great with side of pasta (INR 130) in tomato, arrabbiata, vegetable alfredo, basil pesto and chicken and cream sauce, in case you are having lunch with a friend.

Karari Aloo Tikki

Craving yummy Delhi street food here in Kolkata? Munch on crispy aloo tikkis with mint chutney sauce {INR 70} to end all those junk food pangs. Guzzle it down with one of their refreshing iced teas or, even better, a tea-based mocktail.
