Established in the year 1978, Sheesh Mahal is synonymous with delicious food that can satiate all sorts of Mughlai or Tandoori food cravings. Located just before Indian Restaurant (another popular eatery), this place, over the years has managed to sustain the quality and quantity of food served. Once you enter, you are sure to appreciate how clean this place is. Although a far cry from the fancy contemporary restaurants of today, this one gets full marks on its maintenance.
Go here for the delectable kebabs they offer. Be it Peshawari, Haryali, Irani or Reshmi, you name it and it’s on the list. Besides the kebabs, you must try the popular Chicken Tikka Butter Masala. Each serving comes with 6 chunky yet succulent pieces of chicken doused in near-perfect butter masala gravy. Call for Tandoori (served piping hot almost immediately) or Rumali rotis (one would be enough, if you aren’t a big eater) to go with it. Top it off with their special firni or Shahi Tukra (super creamy!)
