Sienna’s finally opening their new cafe space and store smack dab in the heart of Park Street, and this weekend they’re calling us over for the grand big launch. If you’re keeping score, then you’d know it’s a neck to neck between Park Street and Southern Avenue. With Sienna set to open doors to their new space, we are bringing our troops along to own back Park Street as the hangout hood. Lock down your weekend here with a slew of gripping dance and music gigs, besides the serve of a scrummy new menu!
Kickstart your Saturday with hula hoop dancer Eshna Kutty, and Bangalore-based musician duo Harini Iyer and Abhijit Nath will set you coasting on the weekend vibe with their Carnatic, jazz and Latin amalgam music. Your Sunday scene will be set right from brunch itself with instrumental trio Dot Three performing live and a hoop dance workshop with Eshna. Later that evening, Smoke Inc (aka Nishit Arora) and PhreshPrince (aka Tushar Bagla) will roll out their #Ennylounge set of NuSoul, hip hop and reggae music for an epic Sunday sundowner.
Spread out on the second floor of Development House inside Celica Park, Sienna’s sprawling new cafe and store will at once remind you of the Hindustan Park cafe and still singularly standout with its umbrella canopy ceiling, pastel-coloured iron chairs, a wide open kitchen and the signature brick and mortar walls.
