What Makes It Awesome?

South Bombay Cafe - Simplicity at its best. Let’s be honest. In a city like Mumbai that has some multicultural cuisines to choose from, South Indian is one genre that has captured all hearts. You might be the desi uddapi fan but enter here and you’d see tables turning in the most subtle way.

Started with the Paneer Crispy Dosa - generous amount of cottage cheese in a very crispy/soy gravy. Chopped onions, fine herbs and spices mixed well inside the Dosa batter. Bite it well, and see the gravy oozing out generously. Served with sambar and coconut chutney. A filling for two here.

Pizza Uttapa - Base used as fine uttapam. Topped with tomatoes, vegetables and grated cheese. Served along tomato ketchup. You know I thought it’s a weird idea but not until you’ve tasted this. Just amazing!

Pesto Dosa - Finely crushed nuts made into a pesto green sauce. Bell peppers and onions Came along the thin and soft Dosa batter which was fair enough.

Ended the meal with the famous filter coffee that came in brass cutlery and some amazing pineapple sheera.

Overall, South Bombay Cafe gives JW orb an uplift by showcasing some authentic spreads at the most affordable prices just to begin with. There might be some places that still remain authentic but who would have known a five star has This true hidden gem alongside.

Won all hearts here!
