Have Delicious Fish Meals At Economical Rates

Nandan posted on 22 January

What Makes It Awesome?

Fans of Highway Gomantak have something to cheer about. This loved eatery now has a branch at Prabhadevi called Chala Gomantak. As someone who is a fan of seafood and coastal cuisine, my friends and I decided to drop in here for lunch. This place specializes in Thaali or combo meals and most guests here simply waste no time in ordering their favourite combo. For starters, we ordered Surmai Fry which was well made. Their bombil fry is strongly recommended. So if you love Bombay duck, do go in for the bombil fry. Between us, three friends, we ordered one chicken sukha thaali with fried Vaday. The Vaday (a variant of puri) is a great replacement for chapati or rice bhakri if you are having the chicken or the mutton Thaali, do try it out! We also ordered one prawn Thaali and another kheema thaali. The thaalis were adequate in quantity and definitely tasty. The Thaali also comes with sol kadhi, rice, curry and some brilliant dried fish salad. We ended our meal, with a Maharashtrian delicacy - kharvas, a kind of milk pudding. Chala Gomantak has a wide variety of seafood to choose from. You may either order a thaali or go in for an a la carte choice. From tisrya to crab masala and from oyster masala to shark masala, there are many options to choose from. Strategically located around an office hub, this is a great place for quick office team lunches, provided the team is fond of seafood.
