What Is It?

The Hidden Village is a forest retreat we found on our way from Mumbai to Nashik. It has a fresh water pool, cottages and huts to stay in, and farm animals such as a chickens and ducks scampering about.

How Do I Get There?

A blissful, almost rustic resort, The Hidden Village awaits you an hour and a half away from main Mumbai. Located in Atgaon, this is a few kilometres from Thane, and is accessible via the Mumbai-Nashik highway. After Shahpur, you will have to keep at the edge of your carseat and crane your neck to the left to spot a small gate.

What Is Awesome About It?

This whole patch of land was transformed into an urban forest by owner Tony D’Souza. This gorgeous property which is as hidden as the name suggests has in it a wooden bridge, a fresh natural spring with a waterfall {that becomes heavy in the monsoon months} and a swimming pool enveloped by vivid green trees and canopies.

How About The Stay And Food?

The stay here might be modest and reflective of a village life, the rooms in the cottages are neat, clean and have all the necessities including mini fridge, a split AC, and bath tubs in some of the cottages.

The food consists of simple Maharashtrian cuisine, including misal pav, bread butter, omelette for breakfast, rice bhakri, mildly flavoured vegetables and lentils for lunch and dinner. Non vegetarians would also be served

P.S. Pets are welcome.

So, We’re Saying…
