Ten-Second Takeaway

Mumbai’s famous night life goes well with the city bars that have been cropping up or have been on the scene for a while. If you’re looking to hit the town soon, or have people visiting the city, here’s a handy guide to the most popular and well, the best bars in the city. Did someone say pub crawl?

Toto's Garage

A Bandra favourite and an evergreen bar in Mumbai, bar on Pali Hill is the one to hit up post-work or just to get a pint or two {there are really two cars inside, one of which serves as the DJ’s booth}.

Toto’s Garage will mostly be overcrowded in the evenings, especially on the weekend, so we highly suggest you go there as early as possible to get a table. With retro music and staff dressed in overalls, head here if you want a typical bar experience. The pub is grungy, has car number plates hung on the walls and hasn’t changed a bit in over two decades.

Pubs

30, Lourdes Heaven, Pali Junction, Pali Hill, Bandra West, Mumbai

Eddies Bistro @ Bandra

A cosy indoor and outdoor place in Bandra, Eddies Bistro has great ambisnce and is possibly one of the more popular bars in the city. If you head here, you ought to try their mini burgers and desserts {especially Tres Leche, a pistachio sponge dessert}.

Heads up, weekends are really busy so make sure to reserve a table in advance or head there early lest you want to be disappointed. They have great offers on alcohol, so make the most of them.

Social {Multiple Outlets}

The Social outlets across the city definitely rank high in being the best bars in Mumbai. Deadly LIITs, heavy breakfast and doubling up as a co-working space in the day time, Social outlets serve for a great outing.

And if you haven’t been to Khar Social yet, be sure to head to their basement aka antiSocial for some of the best gigs in the city.

Not just for the ambiance, but also because they organise gigs, plays and film screenings.

Olive Bar & Kitchen

An upscale bar frequented by celebrities often, Olive bar is the one to go for when you feel fancy. With its white and blue decor, and an envious location near Carter road, Olive is great for when you want to do something warm and cosy.

The Daily Bar & Kitchen

Daily as it’s popularly know, again, has an indoor and an outdoor place and is perfect for a group outing. The outdoor area is adorned with fairy lights and really livens up during the evenings.

If you’re looking to go out dancing, this is where you need to head. On most weekends, once you’re done partying in other cafes, almost everyone heads to Daily.

The Irish House has multiple outlets across the city and is a great place to go if you’re hunting for diverse beer {including the imported ones}.

Doolally's Taproom

This list would not have been complete had we not included our all-time favourite, Doolally’s Taproom. One of the few pubs/bars in Mumbai that is pet friendly {you’ll always spot a doggo or a feline friend chilling}, it also serves craft beer and ciders.

If you haven’t had a great apple cider or mango cider {the latter one being seasonal}, you know where to get it. They also have board games, and organise pub quizzes on Wednesdays.
