The budget this year has come with a lot of exciting things for the city’s development. We take a look at what’s planned.

Tell Me More

As reported by The Hindu here, BMC has set aside a chunky budget for the year 2018-2019 when it comes to the beautification of the city and art. Brace yourselves, for the list, is long. Starting with an art project where the exposed water pipelines will serve as a canvas for artists, there’s also money that will be dedicated to a Mumbai Books Route, a Bollywood Walk of Fame, a Cocoon Track and a Biodiversity Route.

What’s more? The Samyukta Maharashtra Smrutidalan at Dadar will be the venue for virtual reality shows, and the forts {Sewri, Sion and Bandra} will be adorned with aesthetic lighting and more. Even prominent beach fronts at Versova, Seven Bungalows, Aksa, Marve, Manori, Erangal, Chimbai, Dadar and Mahim will get new lighting, according to The Hindu.

So, We're Saying...

There’s a lot more than this, that the BMC plans to do but, we’re closing with this – a Japanese theme park at Bhandup is also a part of the plan.
