What Do I Read?


Dinesh Library, situated at Manish Nagar, Andheri West, is hugely popular among the locals residing in the area {it has been around for 20 years}. On their shelves are plenty of fictional books {that’s literally their majority} ranging from Indian and international authors. Go there if you’re looking at reading the good old Sidney Sheldon, PG Wodehouse, Jeffery Archer and so on. They also have a large collection of romantic books such as the Mills & Boon collections, books by Eric Segal, classics by Jane Austen, books by Nicholas Sparks and more. They also house sci-fi books, and children’s classics by Enid Blyton, Roald Dahl, JK Rowling and several other authors.

Interestingly, if you’re into reading regional Marathi or Hindi books, you can make your way here. They also house copies of magazines and newspapers, in case you’d like to get your hands on those. If you’re looking for varieties of books in genres such as art and culture, social sciences, history, etc., then the Dinesh Library is the right place for you.

How Do I Become A Member?


To be a member of this library, all you need to do is make a deposit of INR 300 (refundable) and pay a monthly fee of INR 175. This will enable you to take one book a day which you can return at your convenience {just don’t keep it for too long and make them call you}. The library is pretty old-school in its functioning, so be a little patient.
