What Makes It Awesome?

I've always been a supporter of homegrown brands, and believe that more often than usual - at least as far as beauty is concerned - these brands understand our skin type and requirements better. Of course, in no way does this mean that I'd stay away from any international beauty brand, but I do believe Indian ones have an edge over them.

Now I've admired Dr. Sheth's products for long, watched and read several reviews, heck even sat through beauty bloggers showing their daily ritual and telling how to use the products correctly. I've also used a cleanser by them in the past, so when it came to trying their new range, I knew what I was getting into. And I was excited.

Let me start with my most favourite product by them - the Basic Brightening Daily Sunscreen (INR 949). The sunscreen is thick but spreads evenly on the body and it very quickly became a part of my daily routine. I love that it's not greasy and my otherwise dry skin absorbs it instantly. It protects against UVA and UVB, and also works to hydrate and de-pigment. I use it on my body and face daily and so far it's amazing. The only drawback could be that you may need to use more than usual and for some, the bottle may get over sooner than expected but then again, it's your skin so it deserves the best. Don't be a miser in that department.

My second favourite in this list is their refreshing Indoor Protection Mist (INR 549). Made to hydrate, brighten and protect the skin, I've quickly become a fan of this product. It's actually to use it every day, especially in the summers, as it can instantly revitalize your skin. It also smells really good, just like rose water.

I also highly recommend their Basic Brightening Sheet Mask (INR 375) for those who suffer from dry skin and tanning problems. If you're someone who travels a fair amount and whose skin is constantly exposed to the heat, you should definitely try this. They also have a Basic Brightening Youth Glotion ( INR 849), which is worth a try. If your skin is damaged thanks to all the dust and pollution, this product will help make it glow.

Overall, my experience with Dr. Sheth has always been very good and I highly recommend it to everyone. The products are easy to carry (yes, they will fit comfortably in your tiny purses too), and I think they're valued for money.

You can buy them on their website and Nykaa.
