Gateway Brewery & Co believes that stories aren’t just meant to be narrated ashamedly on mornings after drinking, but that each frothy mug of beer can have in it a tale to tell. For this reason, they have come up with the unique concept of collaborating with chefs, travellers, artists and writers to bring to life their unique stories and quests to make a new flavour of beer based on it.
This one-of-a-kind experimental beer is then poured through the Explorer taps that they have set up in a few bars in the city. The latest is the Red Porter, AKA the Pompous Ass, a brew with subtle infusions of caramel and hints of roast red wine.
Where Can I Have This?
The Pompous Ass will be available at the Woodside Inn {Colaba and Andheri}, British Brewing Company {Thane and Vashi}, The Good Wife {BKC} and The Bombay Canteen {Lower Parel}.
Here, nothing is ever permanent, not even the beer you’re loving from this tap, so in a few weeks you will be given a new beer here, but remember that you’re an explorer and you’ll be just fine.
