Grandmama’s Cafe in Dadar and Lower Parel is hosting a monsoon-special fondue festival till the end of August.
This rainy season is the perfect weather to curl up with some comfort food, and is there anything more comforting than a giant bowl of liquid cheese? No, there isn’t – unless that cheese has bacon in it. The fondue festival at Grandmama’s Cafe includes flavours such as bacon fondue, chopped macaroni fondue and a four-cheese fondue which includes Emmental, Parmesan, Mozzarella and Cheddar.
For the spice-lovers, there’s also paprika, jalapeno and roasted pepper fondues. On the side, we’ll be served multigrain bread and spinach fritters. The fondues are selling for INR 295 upwards.
We’re going to head here to find some warm comfort in these cold and wet times. Grandmama’s Cafe also has some of the most warm and comforting interiors of city restaurants we’ve seen, as well as a playlist made to melt hearts, which will make this experience even better.
