Going on a vacation or just waiting for your leave to be sanctioned? Really live like a local by signing up on this website, The Love Home Swap, and exchanging homes with someone, just for a few days.

Do A Switcheroo

Yup, the plot of the Cameron Diaz-starrer ‘The Holiday’ could be your life, if you so wish, by signing up on this awesome website we discovered – The Love Home Swap. You can exchange your home with a stranger living on the beach of Mexico, through this service. How does it work? It’s quite simple really. You sign up on the website, pay a yearly fee of approximately INR 1,200 {$20}, and can, much like AirBnb upload your home’s profile on the internet, put up pictures and write accompanying descriptions. At the same time, there are thousands of other users from across the world who have got their lovely homes up on the site for you to browse through {and if it works out, even stay it} such as a lakeside villa in Italy, an old-school cottage in Edinburgh, a studio apartment in Amsterdam and within India, beautiful Goan villas and even a haveli in Rajasthan. To book a stay at any of these places, there are three ways to go about it: one is to exchange homes with someone {whether on the same dates, or non-simultaneous exchanges}, and another way is to swap points with someone {which you accumulate on the website}. Here is a list of FAQs that are neatly answered here.

So, We're Saying...

You can cut staying costs out of your travel plans now, and plan your vacation without any further ado. Check out the site here.
