Mumbai cinephiles, we've got some great news for you! Future Fiction is back with the second edition of Indie Cinema Night on July 7 at Above The Habitat (Khar).
Made to create an alternative space for emerging forms of film, and animation from different parts of the country, the themes this time are varied - imagined futures, environmentalism, sustainability and urbanism; where each story highlights the relationship between different cultures and a collective identity.
Each ticket pass, that costs you INR 499, grants you access to over 15 indie films from India.
Wondering what to expect? Well, you'll be in some august company (you are warned!) with the BAFTA 2019 shorts, animated short films (Rendezvous With Mars - Divya More; Thatha's Secret - Sharanya Ramesh), independent short films (Tungrus - Rishi Chandna), visual music and even smartphone cinema shorts (Madras in a Minute - Ajith James Ephrem; Exploring Egypt - Rahul Ramesh).
Their first Indie Cinema Night brought together over 135 filmmakers, creators and cinema lovers together, so we're really kicked about Round 2!
Reminiscent of the old-style movie nights, replete with the customary popcorn and, maybe, coffee, it's a chance to experience something different, soul-stirring and fun.
