The upper Kanheri trail is a breezy trail with a gorgeous view that must be done in winters (or what feels like winter in Mumbai). it has a meandering path with a gradual climb through the woody forest of Borivali National Park. The path leads on to rocky grass and a plateau that has the 2,000-year-old Kanheri Caves with a great view of Sanjay Gandhi National Park.
The meeting point is just after the main gate at the national park, at 7:30 AM. The trail starts about 20 kms away from the main gate and the trail duration will be around 3 hours.
You'll also have a naturalist who will point out the flora and fauna of the region.
