Kitabi Khazana is an online library that lets people from across Mumbai share books with each other. All you need to do is click a picture of your book, upload it on their Facebook page and get started.
One of the most novel idea that we’ve come across in a while, Kitabi Khazana is a bibliophile’s paradise. It brings together book lovers of all age groups, reading all genres of books and encourages them to share their priced possessions. In short, it’s a portal that propagates the policy of ‘sharing is caring’ and lets you borrow books from fellow book-lovers and even lend your own.
All you need to do is like their Facebook page and click a picture of the book you’d like to share and send it to them. They will then upload it on their page with details of the owner and interested people can get in touch by commenting ‘I want to read’. They can then get in touch with the owner, and in case the owner is busy, KK will do the job and get the book to them. They have a massive collection of books people can borrow and they’re neatly divided as per genre, so there’s ample opportunity to read and spread the love.
Each person is allowed to borrow a book for 15 days. In case thee’s a particular book you’ve been wanting to read, you could notify KK about it. If there are some books you’d like to donate, KK is happy to collect them.
We think this is a great platform for book lovers to unite, and this way everyone gets to read what they like. For more details, check out their page here.
