No matter how much we shop, its never going to be enough. And while we're at it, our bank accounts have to suffer. However, we found a local clothing brand called Knotty Knitters that makes super affordable plus fashionable sarees, lehengas, dupattas, and even home furnishings and decor that we absolutely love.
Knotty Knitters, started by Pallavi Advani, is a local brand from Dehradun that is known for its handmade creations by several artisans in the country. These handcrafted fabrics used in clothing, furnishings or bags, bring to you the essence of Gujarat and Rajasthan, with the Hand Block print of Kutch, Bandhani designs of Jaipur, Ajrakh prints from Bagru, and much more. They have a Poshak Collection which is reflective of the royal couture of Rajasthan, with a blend of the state’s heritage and its Rajputi culture. A favourite of the Maharanis since olden times, a Rajputi Poshak is a set of Kurti, Kanchali (both cover the torso), Ghagra (a long graceful skirt) and Odhni (a long piece of transparent cloth that covers the head as a symbol of dignity), this traditional set is beautiful, to say the least. We absolutely love how Knotty Knitters has connected its brand with the culture of a State, and it shows in the beautiful designs.
Apart from clothing, Pallavi specializes in designing bags and clutches, as well as home furnishings like bed sheets, cushion covers, table runners and more. We're already in love with this brand and we're stocking up soon. What about you?
