A table lamp which looks like a tiffin dabba? we found it on Postbox, and it’s surprisingly quirky and chic.

Light Up

The dabbawalla lamp is made out of naturally dried solid Australia Warrier Wood, and the thread has been manually wound together across each rim. Inspired by the dabbawalas in Mumbai, the design takes us back to the good old, less complicated, smartphone-free times, which we like.

Another thing we like is its consideration towards the environment. For every tree used for the production, hundreds are planted to replace the ones used. Yes to sustainability!

So We're Thinking...

Since Postbox has a flat 40% sale going on, you should check out the other amazing design-led pieces they do. We saw some popular culture-inspired wall art and posters, Ikat laptop bags, coasters and hand-painted jewelry boxes. They also have an impressive selection of men’s accessories.

#LBBTip

The Dabbawalla lamp comes in a set of two. You can mix and match with different sizes, according to your needs.

Price: INR 3,258 for two small Dabbawalla lamps
