This Weekend, A Workshop Will Teach You How To Make A Guitar At Home

The information in this post might be outdated

What Is It?

Have you always yearned to have your own guitar, but finances been keeping you from investing in one? Well, put your air guitar away, because a new workshop in Mumbai will teach you how you can make your own guitar at home.

Who Is It For?

For the music-lovers and for those who always wondered how they could get around trying woodwork. The workshop is happening at Maker's Asylum in Andheri East. The speaker is Samir Karnik, a guitar and ukelele maker, who is also a sustainability consultant who works on environmental projects by day, and builds acoustic guitars and other wooden knick-knacks by night.

Why Should I Go?

Because this is a truly unique workshop. We love the fact that there's now a space in Mumbai which will teach people the old-fashioned craft of making beautiful instruments from scratch. And can you imagine playing a guitar you've crafted with your own two hands?

Anything Else?

The best part of all - the event is free. Just make sure to register ahead of time.

I love food, Bombay and people who do amazing things just for the sake of doing them.
