What Makes It Awesome

"Bayroute" Fairly one of the best places I have visited in my life. I have almost visited all the outlets in the city and the food is so damn worth it. It gives you that authentic Middle eastern feel with its exquisite food and warm hospitality. The portions are generous and the presentation is just worth the money you pay for. Also, the taste is quite unmatchable.
Hummus is always the first thing I start off with. It's a middle eastern favorite where chickpea puree is emulsified with sesame paste and extra virgin olive oil served with pita bread. The smoked olives and pickled veggies served along with are not to be missed at all.
"Musabbaha" This one, in particular, is a new addition to their menu. Jordanian hummus churned with strained yogurt folded with cumin, whole garbanzo beans and capped with muddled green chili and garlic. Had this with pita bread and the flavors really explode in your mouth.
"Hamid Prawns" Sumac and herbs marinated prawns, chargrilled and smeared with confit garlic butter. Even this is a new entrant in the menu and it did set a benchmark for my palate. Also, the prawns were fresh and medium-sized and can be had easily by 2 people.
"Yemini Mendi" I always keen on trying out Yemen's food and finally had eyes set upon this and ordered up this without even a thought. It had a nice smoky aroma and the heap of rice was topped with chunks of baby lamb cooked over a pit. The spices used for the marination of the lamb chunks were quite unique. Also a great presentation and a decent quantity.
"Rubyan Meshwi" It's a must-have for prawns lovers, especially for someone who's looking to have it in the main course. Huge sized tiger prawns chargrilled to perfection laid on a bed of mashed potatoes and served along was grilled asparagus. The lemon garlic made it even more appetizing.
In drinks, "Dessert Storm" and "Honey Teneesse" were and are my favorites. Be it the taste or the presentation, they just nail it and the drink worth your money. Alcohol was well balanced with no flaws at all. Cheers to the bartender.
A great place to enjoy great Middle Eastern cuisine.
