Shortcut

There’s a new Egyptian-themed restaurant in Chakala, Pharoah, and it’ll save you a trip to Egypt with its chill lounge and a Sphinx overlooking you. We checked it out for you, and we confirm there are no hidden mummies there.

Chow Down

Enter Pharaoh and be greeted by Sphinx welcoming you to the Egyptian themed lounge and restaurant.

Though hyped with its Middle Eastern theme and décor, the menu is your regular cuisine at offering. They offer pretty much everything from hummus, a special Egyptian soup called Molokhiya {vegetarian INR 130 and non-vegetarian INR 150} and paneer tikkas to salads. They do have a Mediterranean section which includes a few of the special dishes like shish taouik kebabs {INR 280}, battatta hazarra {INR 180} and our favourite Mahsi platter {INR 450} which is basically chicken stuffed with rice and herbs and all the right spices}.

Sip On

The gorgeous wooden deck bar is amazing and offers you some good old cocktails like the LIITs, Caprioska, Gimlet, classic martinis and more.

So, We're Going

If you’d like some good music and a lounge to chill in post work in Andheri East, Pharoah should be your go to restaurant.
