This is a lovely space in Bandra, quite like the eponymous potter lab, with a wooden table in the centre where you are cut off from the world. Here, you can just give yourself and your newly-found craft the time of day.

At the Pottery Lab, by Rekha Goyal, sign up for a beginner’s course which would be 10 days long. You will learn hand-building, working at the potter’s wheel, decoration and application of glazes.

One Wheel Drive

Anshu Dorairaj, the owner of pottery and ceramics brand One Wheel Drive takes classes on a customised basis at her studio on Grant Road. Each course is a four-day course, in which basic techniques of handling clay are taught, right from pinching, coiling, joining and even making figurines. If you wish to learn beyond that, you can extend the course. She takes classes in groups of four people.
