Who doesn’t like cheap booze, right? So when we heard about New Madras a.k.a. NM near Sion station, we were super stoked. So there’s nothing exceptional about this bar, barring the fact that it’s open to anyone and everyone and that it serves cheap booze and food. So while it isn’t like your Janta or Gokul {not as refined}, but the vibe is good – perfect for when you want to drink with your friends.

While you can choose the alcohol you want to drink, we suggest that when it comes to food, choose from their fairly decent Chinese food options like the chicken fried rice or chilly chicken. To go with the booze, order the masala peanuts. An evening for two should cost you around INR 1,500.

We love this super simple and well-lit {thankfully not dingy} bar for its cheap food and booze and for that fact it’s not shady.
