I love shoes. And this is not an understatement. From a pair of classic black heels (I've a preference for wedges) to boho-chic flats, shoes can totally transform your entire outfit. They can elevate your whole look and well, what's not to like about looking pretty?
Mitali, Soleful's founder is originally a CA and lawyer by training, but found her passion for footwear and turned it into a brand. And in Feb 2020, she launched Soleful. Always a fan of footwear since childhood, Mitali tells us she even loved shopping for those simple black Mary Jane school shoes and was always fascinated by all kinds of footwear. She channelled her creativity into designing shoes and now works with a team of artisans in Mumbai to execute her designs.
What I love is that Soleful is a vegan brand. That means cruelty-free too. And I've got to say, I absolutely fell for their pretty flats. They have denim lace-ups called Lacey Dee's that look really breezy and a pair of sunset yellow-red beaded flats called Sunset Drive that just scream Goa. A bit more unusual is the Verbena Red, a pair of flats with a leaf design that looks like it would pair well with my favourite churidar set.
