Refash Pop-Up

What's Happening

Refash is a curated 7-day exhibition and fashion pop-up that shines the spotlight on all things upcycled. In case you're not familiar with this concept, upcycling is a process of transforming existing used, old or waste products into something new and fresh.

Founded by Akanksha Kaila, who graduated with a design degree from the University of the Arts, London, Refash came into being in 2018 as a platform to bring together designers and creators striving towards conscious fashion and sustainability under one umbrella. It's featured more than 40 brands and has even put together a directory of 150 designers who match their conscious living ethos.

Stylising itself as a fashion movement as much as a brand, Refash aims to change our habits of consumption and works towards embracing our waste products in a useful and creative way!

During its one-week duration, this exhibition will showcase the work of Indian designers who themselves subscribe to this cause. You'll have a chance to attend workshops and talks, plus shop for everything from jewellery, bags, stationery, bags, and more that are all created from what would normally be termed as "waste".

Among the brands showcased here are I was a Sari, that supports the work of women artisans from economically challenged communities; Inai, a brand showcasing upcycled leather goods in contemporary styles; Iro Iro, a brand that's known for its zero-waste policy, from Jaipur; and Delhi-based We are labeless, a luxury clothing label. Other brands in the spotlight include The loom art, If you slow, Patch over Patch, The second life, Dwij, Lata Sita, Swavlambi, Raasleela and Pomogrenade.
