The Sheila Raheja Manoranjan Udyan in Malad is a well-maintained turf for a jog or loitering even. We delve deep in to what makes it worth a visit.

What Is It?

A sprawling park frequented by 700 people on an average for walks, jogs and yoga in the morning/evening. While the name may take a few seconds to pronounce, the purpose of this park is not as complicated. An amphitheatre for performances, a yoga zone, a separate children’s play area and clean toilets are a few things you can look forward to.

A run in the morning is all you need to get through the day and an evening walk can easily uplift your spirits after a long day of looking at the computer screen. The park requires you to pay an entry fee of INR 5 which they use for maintaining the premise. Tuesday, however is free for all. The park is open all days in two time slots – 6am to 9am and 4pm to 9pm.

So, We're Thinking...

With the city lacking open spaces to breathe a whiff of fresh air, another such space is what the landscape needs. Meanwhile, Malad gets healthier.
