What Makes It Awesome?

The brainchild of Neha Kedia and Vivek Chidambaram, Scent Sutra at Nitesh Hub in Koregaon Park is India's first luxury perfume store, selling high-end brands like Dali Haute Parfumerie, Amouage and Nasomatto.

Designed by architect Kunaal Seolekar, this 425 square feet store is perhaps one of the classiest establishments we have seen - glassy exteriors with sharp black arches, expensive perfumes in chic crystal bottles placed on tree shelves, polished wooden interiors that shine under the bright yellow ceiling lights and shelves that have some of the best fragrances of the world on display. Scent Sutra is the only place in India that houses perfumes which you will not get anywhere in the country.

When we went in, we were taken aback by the vastness of Scent Sutra's collection. For instance, the perfumes by Dali Haute Parfumerie is stored inside elegant bottles with the popular Dalinian iconography of the eye, butterfly, hand and watch. Priced at INR 24,600, Dali Fluidite was the one that caught our attention. We heard that this masterpiece is made with the rare ingredients including sambac jasmine, bergamot, floral tuberose, bourbon vanilla and sandalwood.

Anything Else?

Speaking of rare ingredients, luxury perfume label from Oman, Amouage is all about exotic aroma dominated by floral notes, blends of spices, a tinge of musk, leather, vanilla and amber. While their women's perfume bottles are inspired by the shape of Palace Ruwi Mosque in Muscat, the men's scents resemble the shape of a khajar which is also the traditional dagger of Oman. The bottles are, in fact, embellished in gold and studded with Swarovski crystals.

Priced at INR 19,800, we loved the Memoir Woman from this range that is an intoxicating blend of pink pepper, absinthe, mandarin and cardamom. Also, did we mention they incorporate Oudh in their creations, which is perhaps the most of the most expensive perfume ingredients in the world?

The last from this exquisite range is the Nasomatto collection, featuring artsy wooden caps. Very contemporary and unique, their fragrances are unisex and use extraordinary mixes of baraonda, Hindu grass, blamage and more. Our pick from Nasamatto is China White. Priced at INR 10,600, this one has an unforgettable top note of white flora, tuberose and sweet vanilla.
