What Makes It Awesome

The Pune Smart City Development Corporation Ltd. has decided that Aundh and Savitribai Phule Pune University will get a public bicycle sharing system. PEDL is an initiative to emphasise on non-motorised transport.

They're beginning with a trial in these two areas and this will go on for 90 days. Residents can try the free bicycles by registering here - { www.pedl.in }. Bicycles can be hired from any of the eight stations in Aundh or those in SPPU. Once the system is in place, it is said that users will be able to use the cycles for INR 1 for 30 minutes. Aundh will have 200 cycles and SPPU will have a 100.

They're also focusing on creating dedicated bicycle lanes.

Anything Else?

If the trial period goes well, we'll have access to cycles all over the city!
