Located in Aundh opposite Croma, The blue plate is one of my favourite eateries in the town.
Let me brief you about how they Came up with the name and the concept :
“The Blue Plate” is an old term used in American Diners. They used to serve their Day’s Special items in blue coloured plate. Hence the name Blue Plate Specials was created and trust me all the dishes are upto the mark.
What we had :
Roasted chicken Flatbread : For all those who are not familiar with what flatbreads are,flatbreads are nothing but pizza slices arranged in a different shape and the base is made up of thin crusts. The flatbread was simply delicious, the roasted chicken was superb in taste so was the base, and the amount of sauces and spice was just perfect. An amazing option to go for !
BBQ chicken flatbread & Piri Piri chicken flatbread : One was topped with a bit of sweet tangy flavour and other with spicy succulent pieces but both of them surprisingly competed and bagged the position at the same level !
Brownie with Custard : Beautiful dessert. A simple dessert such as a custard turned into a mouth watering fancy and extremely tasty dessert, the caramel custard and the brownie strips, chocolate syrup was a phenomenal combination.
Cheese Garlic bread : A long strip of garlic bread infused with cheese for just 90 bucks!
Hot chocolate : A cup of hot chocolate topped with whipped cream. New favourite ! Mandatory beverage !
