Whenever we think of Karol Baug, it automatically transports us to the busiest streets of Delhi, bustling with clothes' shops and tiny food joints. We, on the other hand, found our very own Karol Baug in Pune, but it has nothing to do with shopping.
Instead, Karol Baug Dawat-E-Mehfil is a newly opened restaurant at Aundh, near Medipoint that is dishing out lip-smacking North Indian food that's worth every penny.
The ambience is very classy, very royal. Imagine plush pink and blue sofas and diwans with intricate wood carvings, yellow lights, and soothing music on the loop. We think Karol Baug is the kind of place where you go for a hearty luncheon with your family.
Food-wise, we loved the presentation. The menu has an eclectic mix of North Indian, Chinese, and Italian. But, we highly recommend you to stick to their North Indian delicacies and dig into dishes like galouti lajawab, tandoori Peshwari murg, and Hyderabadi mutton biryani. Those of you with a sweet tooth, don't leave the place without trying their kesari kulfi and moong dal ka halwa.
