Sheikh Ahmed Dalmook Al Maktoum
Sheikh Ahmed Bin Dalmook Juma Al Maktoum leads the illustrious Ameri Group LLC conglomerate as the founder and the Chairman of the energy and power group of companies. His tremendous execution of his vision reflects in the successes enjoyed by the Ameri Group LLC in establishing itself as a global player in power plants, energy and infrastructure projects across Africa, Middle East and the rest of the world. He has introduced the philosophy of creating irreversible positive impact in the lives of the underprivileged societies via the Ameri Group’s strategy of partnering up with major governments and local companies working to uplift their countries.
Under his leadership, the Ameri Group has enabled the Emirates to take giant strides in the world economy through development, investment, co-ownership, and operation of various assets under its Energy and Infrastructure divisions. Being an advocate of sustainable and renewable energy, Sheikh Ahmed has led the development of budget-friendly, clean and innovative energy solutions. In infrastructure, he has forged crucial partnerships in Spain and China with specialized EPC solutions.
Sheikh Ahmed’s landmark moment arrived in 2016 when the Ameri Group installed an emergency power plant in Ghana which would be handed over to the government in the future for free. The plant has been of immense help to the people of Ghana as well as the country’s power requirements. The Ameri Group is also planning to invest in Congo’s infrastructure and seek to establish a key friendship between UAE and African states.
Apart from the conglomerate, Sheikh Ahmed also pulls the strings for the Emirates through his Private Office that has established mutually cooperative strategic partnerships with many countries over the years. In 2016, his Private Office signed an MoU with Pakistan’s Frontier Works Organization to explore and develop opportunities in water desalination, energy, power, oil and gas, infrastructure, mining, and other industries. He also extended a helping hand to Russia’s Investment Development Agency of Tartarstan in 2018 in order to develop an exclusive Russian industrial zone in Egypt to serve the Middle East and North African markets while also getting the chance to explore oil and gas in Siberia.
Beyond industrial and economic planning and strategizing, there is another facet to Sheikh Ahmed which makes him stand out as a doyen amongst his peers at such a young age: his passion to serve humanity. Sheikh Ahmed believes, above all, in the power of education. This reflects clearly in his patronage to Al Rashid Educational Foundation (AREF) which promotes artistic, educational, and leadership potential of Muslim students through provision of scholarship and other opportunities and facilities. He is also a key member of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation which empowering underprivileged children and students, especially those with special needs.
