For capturing the spirit of Texas

Hitting the bull’s eye

3 Pegs Down gives you a feel of the old, rustic West with ropes hanging around, tungsten bulbs, bat-wing doors and a big bull {don’t worry, it’s not a real live one}. The bar area is quite big, and they also have two huge guns adorning their wall.

This resto-bar cum lounge is pretty spacious and comfy; an ideal place for you to chill with a bunch of friends.

Not entirely Tex-Mex

Thematically, the place is supposed to be Tex-Mex but we don’t see much of it on their menu. Though they have Texas and Mexican sections on their menu, they haven’t started their operations full swing.

Apart from nachos, the only Mexican dish we tried was the Vegetable Tostada {served with salsa, sour cream & avocado dip} and it was superb. We’re expecting lovely tacos, burritos, fajitas and paella in the next couple of weeks.

Their menu also includes Indian, Lebanese and Chinese. The classic chicken tikka was tender and flavoursome. The Crispy Chilly Lotus Stem is something new, and should definitely be tried. The Negima Teriyaki {skewered chicken grilled in teriyaki sauce, served with sticky rice}, we feel, is an acquired taste.

Meanwhile, their BBQ Chicken Pizza {chicken marinated in authentic BBQ sauce} will probably keep us coming back for more.

Chugging times are on their way

Until they receive their liquor license {which should take another week}, you can choose from their non-alcoholic drinks. We nominate the Homemade Ginger Ale which is super refreshing. The Banana-Oreo shake was good, but was more of a plain banana shake {please add more Oreos. Sincerely, an Oreo lover}.

You can also go for their Elderflower Fruit Lemonade, Watermelon Star Anise Lemonade, and a range of iced teas until their signature Texas cocktails, along with the classics {three at INR 999 of your choice!} start flowing in.
