Order Food & Count Your Calories with Lean Chef

Lean Chef serves a variety of food with healthy recipes, for the fitness friendly among us. Their delivery service makes it easy to order out, but still stay on your diet or fitness regime.

If you’re used to ordering out {and these days who isn’t?}, but don’t enjoy not being able to keep track of your calorie intake, or find delivery items to be too greasy, too oily, or too heavy, then we suggest you try Lean Chef.

A small health-centric café and delivery service, Lean Chef strips regular comfort foods–pizza, burgers, pastas, wraps–of non-essential fatty ingredients. Their menu, which also includes salads, sandwiches, mains, juices and smoothies, has the calorie count of each dish written besides the pricing, helping you decide what works best for your diet.

We get hungry while working in the office, so we ordered a Chicken and Hummus Burger, a Rocket Pizza, a Roast Chicken Salad and the Southwest Chicken Wrap. The best item was the wrap, with crunchy veggies and a tasty mix of sauces going decently well with the chicken. We were also satisfied by the Chicken and Hummus burger, which was—you guessed it—chicken and hummus in a bun, with jalapenos added for a kick.

Be warned, being a health joint, when you order pizza it won’t have cheese. This made the Rocket Pizza less appealing, but we knew what we were in for when ordering. The salad was a disappointment; a seemingly random mash of chicken and lettuce casually tossed together. Not much flavour, not much point.

All in all, if you’re looking to keep an eye on your widening girth, or just like to know what is going in to stomach at all times, then Lean Chef is a good delivery option. Their café is a small space, so we recommend you get it to go, or order in.
