So much so that Sanjay Dutt offered his recipe, which has stayed on the menu as Sanju Baba Chicken for decades. But, since we're on the topic of biryani, head here for their White Chicken Biryani, a unique recipe of the hotel where chicken is cooked in a white marinade and is flavourful, owing to the yoghurt and cream. This dish is worth the trip to the neighbourhood known for some of the best non-veg in Mumbai.

You're probably wondering why a small Irani cafe would feature on a biryani list. We couldn't help but include Dadar's Light of Bharat because of its Kepsa Biryani. It's not uncommon to find Kepsa Biryani in Mumbai, but LOB does a good rendition of the dish. Kepsa is a combination of rice and kebabs that are layered, and gets its name from Kabsa, a traditional dish in Saudi Arabia. As LOB is great with its kebab-making skills, you're offered a great Kepsa Biryani here, along with other great food.
