What Makes It Awesome?

White Charcoal is located on the second floor of The Empresa Hotel in Andheri Lokhandwala. This restaurant has a great ambience with elegant black and white interiors with soothing music. It's a spacious and very comfortable dining arrangement. They have 2 private sections for a small group too.

As soon as we got our table, we were served with cucumber-mint Infused water. Later, we were served with amuse-bouche, unique bite-size mango mousse as a palate cleanser before we began our meal.

For the first time, came across a unique thing on the table - A jar containing dry ice along with cinnamon and spices for a beautiful fragrance.

Later, we were served with a fresh salad with tangy spices.

The service is very impressive and top-notch.

Coming to the items from the menu:
Means highly recommended

Drinks:
Spicy Guava Mojito - A twist to a regular mojito. I liked the mocktail very much.

Strawberry Sunset - A refreshing mocktail with peach, orange & strawberry fizz. The smoked rosemary added that extra touch to the drink.

Starter:
Prawn Tellicherry - Four Tiger Prawns battered & fried perfectly well. Platted with sautéed cherry tomato onion & curry leaves. It had a tasty & tangy combination which elevates the flavour of the entire dish.

Assam Tea Smoked Duck Breast - Nicely cooked and presented duck breast. The orange chunda and the coconut chilli sauce on the side added flavour to it. If you love eating duck, go for it.

Mains:
Kid Lamb Salli Boti - I ordered this because I love eating Parsi cuisine and this is one of them. Perfectly cooked small pieces of boneless lamb in thick red gravy with salli on the top.

Dum Ka Murgh - Boneless chicken in a thick cashew gravy and saffron. You feel the flavour richness in each bite.

Mint Paratha - Soft and perfectly made.

Missi Roti - Very soft butter filled multi-layer Missi roti to go with the gravy dishes.

Chef Rajendra Agnihotri suggested us their speciality desserts & I can't thank him enough for the same. These two are the best desserts I have had in 2019 so far.

Mango Tres Leches - I don't have words to express my feeling for this dessert. Being a dessert lover, I felt that I was in love again. What a beautifully presented dessert & the taste was simply exceptional. Do not miss to order this (If u visit them during the Mango Season)

Chocolate Salt and Pepper Sugar - Now again the combination is exceptional and excellent which I have never tried. The mousse was super soft & melts in the mouth. The chikki in the dessert was also adding the necessary crunch to the dessert. Super delicious.

To end our meal, we were served with liquid Nitrogen Paan. It was very yum

Couldn't have asked for a better way to end our meal.

Overall rating: 5/5

My verdict:
One of the best Fine-Dine with super tasty food and top-notch service.
