Jivhala restaurant is run by a Maharashtrian family and serves authentic homely Maharashtrian food, their family recipes along with a mix of other cuisines.
I tried a few dishes here on the weekend. Homely Bhakri And Pitla With Bomb Thecha! Good and quite authentic. Spicy Sholapur style misal which was good.
9-grain shallow fried thalipith which was served with a peanut sauce and was soft and crisp at the same time. The grains are roasted by the owner herself.
Batata Vada, crisp and garlicky. Just how I like it. Yum.
Kothimbir wadi. Very different from the rest. More coriander less besan. Super crisp and delicious.
Gajar Halwa, not very sweet. Loved it.
Solkadhi and the masala chaas were good. A little spicy for me but were good.
Overall a good place with good food.
