What Makes It Awesome?

Upon hearing the name Illuminati, there is this feeling of curiosity you have before you enter the restaurant. The aura of mystery and fascination surrounding this concept entices you to visit this unique place and explore the unexplored, only at BKC.

The first thing you notice is the custom arches with triangular inlet lights giving justice to the infamous Illuminati triangle. The restaurant blueprint is smartly planned to give a feeling of privacy to every table. The concept of Illuminati has been reflected everywhere from the menus, coasters, napkins to the decor and usage of black and white, with a hint of gold, in the interior. The bar is massive, visible from every table in the restaurant with an enviable collection of spirits and liqueurs. With state of the art light and sound system, Illuminati has a life of its own in the night, raising the lounge scene in Mumbai a notch higher.

Coming to food and drinks :

This place has a wide of drinks to offer and we loved all the unique cocktails we found on the menu. We ordered :

Mon Amie: The perfect summer is here. Mon Amie with watermelon and passion fruit combined with rum with a dash of basil reenergizes and refreshes you with each sip. It is the perfect accompaniment to your meal.

Elixir: If you're a fan of all things fruity and tropical and you love vodka, elixir can give you life. Ketel one, mixed with Rosehip and Hibiscus tea, with some fresh Litchi juice will satisfy your senses. We especially loved the garnish on this one with two litchis placed on the brim of the glass.

Food

Charcoal bread double cheese sandwich: This deceptively simple sandwich creates an explosion in your mouth with each bite pouring creamy cheese on your tongue. Activated charcoal bread makes it look very unique and the tomato-olive sauce and the balsamic onion jam go very well with it. We highly recommend this.

Cola Chicory Pepper Baby Potatoes on the Barbie: Baby Potatoes slathered with BBQ sauce served with honey yoghurt and Mandarin sauce is an unexpected combination but turns out to balance the palette pretty well.

Sushi: Spicy Avocado Sushi and Braised Shitake Sushi both were amazing. Decorated with edible flowers, garnished with spicy mayo and served with wasabi, ginger and soy sauce, both these sushis were delectable.

Grilled Polenta with Mushrooms and Pecorino: Grilled asparagus, basil and rocket pesto covered polenta in the form of a baked block and served tomato compote and olives are the perfect vegetarian main which is surprisingly light on your tummy as well.

Apple Pie Baklava: Apple pie contained in the magical pastry sheets of baklava served with golden raisins, candy walnuts, cinnamon and vanilla ice cream was the perfect end to our meal.

The sense of enigma around Illuminati is debunked bite by bite with its exquisite dishes and cocktails and we highly recommend this place to all food and party lovers.
