What Makes It Awesome?

The Colonial Palate is a fine dining restaurant in Kalaghoda, the heartthrob of Mumbai. It's a classical vintage style restaurant with its elegant chandeliers and map showing colonial journey give a magical experience to the ambience. The wonderfully curated menu gives a gourmet experience.  Their top-notch service is definitely to mention especially Mr Ranjeet helped us to order their wonderful dishes with a pleasant face throughout.  They have amazing mocktails from which I had tamarind mojito which was so refreshing with its tangy spicy-sweet notes. The food is definitely to die for.  The menu is more of fusion of Indian and the colonial influencers like Portugal, Dutch and Mughal. We tried the charred makhanwala burrata, the most yummilicious I had in my food journey. Beetroot and sweet potato chaat was a healthy alternative for chaat lovers, mashed sweet potatoes and raghada mix served with beetroot, sweet and spicy chutneys and yoghurt. Vegetable shepherd pie was indeed tasty, which was served with their signature makhani gravy. Grilled wasabi cottage cheese was the only turned down as the paneer was not soft. But when we mentioned it they were happier to replace it. They have an amazing list of desserts from which we asked for flourless chocolate torte, which is a heavenly dessert.  Our stomach and soul were equally satisfied after the visit to this magical world. Will definitely go back again to enjoy their other.
